5/13/16: Does your infection prevention protocol include patient handwashing?
New research published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that one in four patients transferred from an acute care setting to a post-acute setting had superbugs on their hands. Since  infections pose such a risk to the health and safety of patients, it may be time to expand hand hygiene protocols to include patients.
